While working on the
CASA 2007 Celebrations Committee Nina
Corpe saw this piece sitting around in the back office.
Right away she knew what it could be. With no artistic background, Nina
indicated that she made up her style as she went along and her technique
comes and goes in a flash of inspiration. “Sometimes it works” she
said. We know it did with this inspired wine rack titled
“Wine County.” This auction
item includes, four wine glasses, nine bottles of wine, wine markers,
cutting board, candle, basket, and Andre Bocelli CD.
We have also included a Hot Air Balloon Ride to this package!
For yourself, or a perfect gift. Dreams come true! First, our crew
chief will take you to the launch site where the beautiful balloon
is being inflated. Then we gently ascend and float between 500 and
1,000 feet, wherever the wind takes us for about an hour. On
landing, we celebrate with a champagne or fruit juice toast, an old
European tradition.
The ticket is fully transferable, so you can keep it for yourself or
acquire it as a gift for a friend, loved one, or valued employee. It
is a gift they will thank you for again and again! A list of the 150
pilots' names and scheduling phone numbers come with the ticket. You
can schedule the ride with any of the pilots--close to home, or when
you are on vacation--any time through
November 1, 2008.

This is Maggie Palmer’s third
donation to the Chair “ity” Auction. Her background as a kindergarten
teacher gives a light casual look at art. This year’s Adirondack should
fit nicely in that nook of your garden.

Sid Corpe
has been wood working for over 50 years. He has made a variety of pieces
including bookcases, curios, dressers, kitchen cabinets, armoires,
tables, chairs and this handmade cherry wood jewelry box. Inspired by a
request for a similar piece by his wife, Patricia, Sid volunteered to
make one for the auction and as you can see, he’s very good at it. A
hand etched mirror was added to augment his craftsmanship. |

Swanky, hip, dashing—if these words
describe your four-legged friend then this auction item is a must have.
This velvety, sophisticated bed is the perfect addition to any debonair
dog’s bachelor pad. He’ll lounge in luxury and drink the finest aperitif
from his glitzy martini glass.
Creators Cristy Cortez-Sackrider and Danielle McKinney
(both dog fanatics) are well aware of how much people are willing to
spend on their dogs. So why not create a sexy, martini-themed bed to
raise money for CASA. With a little technical assistance from David
Sackrider and Kim Long, the posh martini pad made its way from concept
to reality.
“We hope this “fetches” a very high price. Your
four-legged friend will have the hippest pad in town and CASA children
will benefit from the funding.” |
