Chris Parker who sells chairs for a living
decided to create on canvas, a chair that depicts her love for a unique
style and her fun loving nature. "A La Chair" is an acrylic
canvas painting (24" by 48"). |

Carol Smith and Regina Hukill are math
teachers who love to quilt. Here the "Sassy Princess" quilt
provides the "ABC's" for this antique child's Sunday School chair. |

Carol Smith and Regina Hukill teamed up
again with the "Out of this World" quilt. The quilt is a
wonderful embellishment to this antique child's Sunday School chair
which also comes with a teddy bear. |

Christine McKee has studied art at various
colleges and has seriously been pursuing art for over ten years. At
this time she mostly paints abstract acrylics. This chair "Day at
the Beach" is reminiscent of a fun afternoon at the beach. The
stripes represent playful colors of a beach towel. The flowers were
inspired from a textile representing delicate marine plants. |

Barbara Reid started painting in 2000 during a
family medical crisis. She loved it instantly and still experiments
with various styles and media. "Sun Dance" is a whimsical chair
painted in acrylic for a child, doll or stuffed animal, a "weathered"
plant stand, or just colorful kindling on a chilly night when wood
burning is legal! |

Trudy Douglass is a CASA volunteer and sometimes
crafter. This chair "Grow CASA" is her interpretation of the
2005 theme for CASA. "I tried to give an organic vine look to the
copper tubing and a leaf feeling to the embossed hearts I made." |

Eileen Rensel has her degree in Art Studio and
studied in Lucca, Italy. She paints murals, faux finishes in homes and
businesses across the United States. Here she has used her faux leather
finish in brown, black and bronze on this (29" round and 24" high) side
table. |

"Coffee Time" by Dacey Vander Wal, art
teacher at Ridgeview High School. "The table spoke for itself; it was
meant to be a little coffee table. I could just picture it sitting by
someone with a nice hot cup of Joe or a young child playing tea party on
it. I wanted to keep the theme simple and to the point." The materials
used were acrylic paint and vanish. |

Eileen Rensel is inspired by early 20th century
artist Gustav Klimt on this faux leather top coffee table (which
measures 48" by 27" and is "16 high) with black legs. |

"Birds of a Feather" by Phyllis Baldwin
was inspired by her Heron who is always stalking her Koi pond. |

As a newly retired school teacher, Maggie Palmer
couldn't give up painting totally. So when her daughter Tessa, who is a
CASA volunteer, asker her to support CASA, it was an easy step into a
more skilled adventure. This fir wood bench "Too Cute" is
painted with latex semi-gloss and finished with an acrylic seal. |

As a wife and mother, Robin Harmonson, is a
"crafter" who enjoys making decorative items to help celebrate life.
She used a variety of mediums in her chair including canvas and fabric
paints. "Celebrate Me" is a fun way to acknowledge someone's
birthday or special accomplishment. Enjoy! |

Emily Falke is the curator at the Bakersfield
Museum of Art. She enjoys creating art that is colorful and often
funky. She found this old bench and wooden cow at antique stores in
Porterville. She was inspired to create "Blue Cow" by combining
both parts. |

side table is 27" by 23" by 21" high. |

Jolene Forzetting, CASA volunteer and staff
member, painted her chair "Heavenly" with a cloud/sky/heaven
motif. "I work at CASA and would like to contribute my artistic talents
to help kids find safe and permanent homes." |

Best friends Danielle McKinney and Cristy
Cortez-Sackrider love to create together. This chair is the
fruit of their artistic synergy. A little bit of paint, a little bit of
decoupage, some fun fabric and an old stable gun brought this chair to
life. The "Queen of Hearts" chair will be a great addition to
your home or a wonderful Valentine's Day gift |

Julie Fleming used acrylic paint, velvet and
beads to give a mid-1900's telephone chair an Art-deco look. The art
depicts six female friends who share a "Party-line." Julie states "My
daughter and her circle of friends were my inspiration for the piece." |

Jacqueline Parish expresses her personal
interpretation of subjects and emotions, using color and pattern as
tools to give her pictures form and define her creative style, usually
abstract. "Sunflowers" represents a departure. |

Jill Thayer utilizes a rich blend of vibrant
hues, expressed through a high energy palette of color on this
"Abstract Chair." She explores impressionistic and abstract
themes. Her work is included in corporate and private collections in
the United States and abroad including the Reagan Presidential Library,
Disney, United States Congressional offices, Washington D.C. and the New
Yorker Magazine. |

inspiration for this side table (29" round by 24" high) by artist
Eileen Rensel. |

Eileen Rensel has hung the "Gone Fishing" sign on
this potting table (60" high by 31 1/2" wide) which includes the pots,
tools, gloves and potting soil. |

"Peaceful Flowers" was designed by many
Ridgeview High School students from beginning to advance. Students
in the Art Club designed the idea for the chair. Once the idea was
worked out then the sanding and painting began. Students primed and
painted designs. Lastly, the seat was completely redone thanks to
students who in ROP. |

David Gordon is known for his local landscape
painting and paints in a representational style with some
impressionistic technique. When it comes to furniture "I like to be a
bit more free to mix themes." "Wild Escape" is the name of his
table. |

Chris Parker is a creative, fun loving gal who
has a passion for "Art" and this great event. Her "wood" acrylic
painted "Sit Awhile" chair has many more years to please the
lucky bidder. |

This chair “Fishing and Dreaming!”
was designed by Dan Marble and painted by Claudia True.
Dan is a lifelong advocate for children and now builds fun
furniture. Claudia loves to paint playful and funky art. This
combination of their efforts is a delightful mix of fish and clouds and
dreaming and fun. Enjoy! |

dear friend to the CASA Program. |

This
"17 Sunrise Kids Rocker" by Channel 17 personality
Clint Olivier was work inspired and painted live on the
air during the Sunrise Show on February 2, 2005. Clint stated that he
has not had any formal art training but those that watched the show saw
that the Channel 17 logo was hand painted by Clint. Thanks Clint!! |
